CrewChief Version 4.18.5.2 crashes on startup

Hi

I use CrewChief since years and is one of my most important tools in simracing. Since today and after updating to the latest version, crewchief is suddenly not starting anymore and quits with a crash. When starting the upp CC confirms shortly with radio check, also radio check spotter followed by and the its crashing.

In my attachment you will find my logfile startuperror.txt. Even a complete reinstall and restart haven't had any effect on its behaviour, its still crashing. I never had issues with crewchief in all the years and it is really the first time.

Any hints to solve this issue will help me and I'm very grateful for your support.

Where did you get this version from? C:\projects\crewchief_c_sharp is not a path I recognise and the line numbers don't make much sense.

I used the repair function and I am back up working. Maybe try this?

I have the same issues. I tried a repair. Still no go.
However, if I start it during the game, it works. Then when I come out of a race, it crashes. This has only happened since the Dec 2024 update.

Mine was resolved by taking out the quotes from the iracing path; parsing may be different?

I have the same error since installing 4.18.5.2 and the iRacing 2024 December update.

Can you please explain where is the path you are talking about?

Me Too - I have the exact same error since installing 4.18.5.2 just after I had to install the iRacing 2024 December (season 1) update.

CC works if I boot it up once I start iRacing but when I come out of a race, it crashes again and as I race in VR coming out of iRacing when in OpenXR to boot up CC is very difficult.

Can someone please explain - Seven Smiles what's this about what path was used to "get" CC - It was a bog standard update request from CC and also Raj what's this about parsing - where and how to I remove the quotes?

The startupError.txt in the first post includes

   bei CrewChiefV4.Properties.Settings.get_main_window_position() in C:\projects\crewchief_c_sharp\CrewChiefV4\CrewChiefV4\Properties\Settings.Designer.cs:Zeile 4279.
   bei CrewChiefV4.UserSettings..ctor() in C:\projects\crewchief_c_sharp\CrewChiefV4\CrewChiefV4\UserSettings.cs:Zeile 298.

which tells me the program wasn't the one I built and released so I'm confused. If someone can upload a boot trace (see Crew Chief Help) there should be clues in there.

After running the debug command in run I have produced an Error Log File is this what u are looking for? I can't find the boot trace file at c:\temp\output.txt 2>&1 file -- it may be hidden? I have sent the Error Log File to confidential email account at -
