I've been using CC for years, never an issue with updating.
I updated the sound packs without any trouble.
Same here. Can't update to version 4.18.5.1. After downloading the package I get a Windows Installer error asking to contact the software administrator to check if that is a valid WI package.
Same error here. Windows 11.

No idea, it's a Windows problem of some sort. The installer is made with a standard tool WiX Toolset.

So I downloaded CrewChiefRC and installed it without any problems. It installed right next to CrewChiefV4, in the Britton IT Ltd folder. But still couldn't update either. Tried turning off my anti-virus, no luck.
What worked for me was to update Crew Chief on a different computer, then copy the CrewChiefV4 folder to my sim computer. What ever it takes.
Still not possible to install it without issues.
.. but found a workaround.that workes for me:
1) the (free) 7-Zip tool can extract the downloaded "CrewChiefV4.msi" file to a folder
2) this creates "CrewChiefV4.exe" (the new version from .msi)
3) copy "CrewChiefV4.exe" to your CrewChiefV4 folder (overwrite the older version)
.. that worked for me :-) every update
