    Experimental German Voicepack (crew-chief-autovoicepack)

Hi, here is a full 9000+ phrase German CrewChief voicepack created with crew-chief-autovoicepack by automatic translation of the original English phrases and automatic speech audio file creation.

-> Updated download links (see German language section):
    https://github.com/cktlco/crew-chief...ing-voice-pack

@Berti77 please review the English->German translation and upload your edited CSV file here if you make any necessary changes.

This CSV file is just text, but you can edit it more easily by dragging it into a new Google Sheets document, or open with Microsoft Excel.

    I expect issues with:
    - Some numbers wrong or always in English accent
    - Some partial phrases don't make sense ("you're now in P" may not end with "P" after translation)
    - Some corner names, Radio check clips still in English, other minor stuff

Edit any incorrect text in the `text_for_tts` column. Optionally, make the same change in the `subtitle` column. The `original English` column is provided for reference, no edits are needed there or the first 2 columns.

Hello, thanks for the great work but there are a lot of things to change and the voice is very, very quiet...

What does the CSV file help? I will translate all remaining commands into German, mainly the point and the numbers are pronounced in English.

How should I deal with numbers?

e.g. 10 point 9 should I change it to this ten point nine??

Hello, I checked and the voicepack files have the same volume as the original CrewChief speech and all the other voicepacks. Are you listening to the audio in CrewChief in Windows? There is a volume slider at the top of the UI that will make it louder.

The text_for_tts column in the CSV file is exactly the text used to generate the speech files. For example, if it currently has a number (like 9) you can try to change to the German word "neun" so that the speech model is forced to try to say "neun".

There are cases where it will mispronounce some words, which I can't really fix, but sometimes it helps to use a more literal pronunciation like "noin" to force it to say the word differently.

I recommended not trying to get it perfect, just usable, fixing any major issues. For example, I'm not sure how necessary it is to get the corner names and rally codriver speech right. When ready, I'll use your edited CSV file and generate the voicepack again.

Hello, the spooter is much louder than Luis.

I finished the Excel, converted all numbers (1) into one.
How can I make the Excel available to you now?

Hello, I'm not sure on the volume -- if you use the built-in English CrewChief spotter voices, are they louder than the Luis_de voice? Is the Luis_de voice much quieter than the default Jim English voice?

I completed a full race and both Luis_de and the builtin English spotters are at the expected volume level.

You can upload the updated translation file to a forum post using the attachment icon above the text editor.

    1. Export the file from Excel as CSV (phrase_inventory_de.csv)
    2. Rename it to phrase_inventory_de.zip, otherwise the forum will block the upload
    3. I will rename it back when I download it, and create the new voicepack with your changes

I created the csv, hope it works.

I'll take a closer look at the volume thing again this weekend
