Oh, I have that and even understood unlike you as far as my post is concerned. .With the Steam Version i get an generell error warning while trying to join the multiplayer so no it can´t be used onlinehowever it can be used online as well.
Sorry for the confusion guys, I should remove the part about "online usage" but I can't edit my own post.
Plugin is somewhat working online (not all features do, I don't know if VR works) but my focus is offline racing - I am not doing anything for online specifically. I might revisit online in distant future, but this is not very likely - game netcode is hopelessly outdated compared to modern games like iRacing and RaceRoom and modernizing that is a lot of work that is not interesting to me.
I have no idea about error you describing Andregee, but I guess it might be server settings. But please understand: unless everyone is using same version of GTR2, same CCGEP version, same CCGEP settings you basically run different games online, and that will likely even affect car performance, so this stuff is very far away from being truly usable online.
Thank you for your statement .The problem is not server mismatches or join problems, but I just can't get into the multiplayer lobby. When I click on the multiplayer link, nothing happens for about 20 seconds and then the general error message appears. I just wanted to know if the problem is on my side or if this is generally the case.
