    Audio Disconnected and Volume Changes

    Hello,
As of last week the audio on CrewChief has become broken for me. The voices are mis-timed, getting cut in half or out of sync with the background sounds. Occasionally the volume will go up to very high levels and I will get a burst of deafening background noise.
I checked, found and turned off allowing apps full control of mike and speakers.
I turned off uAudio, and that has helped a lot with volume variability, but I am still getting half messages and messages out of sync with the background.
I have tried a full delete and re-install. It did not seem to help.
I am not sure what triggered this change, as everything has been fine for many months. The only change I made around the time it started was an update to my GPU drivers - not sure how that could be related though.
Any thoughts on things to try?
    Thank you.

Slight update: as a workaround I have turned the background volume off as that was the main thing out of sync. I still get occasional half messages, particularly when first leaving the pits, but it seems to settle down after that.

I think it might be a general audio problem, not CrewChief specific, as I am also hearing some dropouts of PTT open/close sounds from Discord.

If anyone has any tips or advice on tracking it down, that would be useful.

    Thanks

Same here! Have also tried changing windows settings, ingame settings (AMS2) and audio is fine when not using CC, terrible with it. This was working fine up until a couple of days ago.....

I have possibly found the problem.
Woodman put me on to the idea that it might be related to Razer's Synapse software. I found a few other people with similar problems (notably with Discord notification sounds - which I was having problems with too) caused by the THX software installed by default with Razer Synapse if you have a Razer headset.
The fix is basically: go to 'Installed Apps' in Windows, search for THX and uninstall the three THX things that are installed*.
It seems to have made CrewChief work as normal again, Discord too! More testing needed to confirm that.
(*This of course means you cannot use the THX audio enhancement features of Synapse - but that is not much of a loss to me - it makes some difference to the audio quality but not one that I put any value on!)
