Hold to talk delay when using headset microphone

I'm currently having an issue I cannot figure out the fix for. My setup is using a Quest 2 VR headset with headphones plugged into it. In order to get the app to recognize any voice input, I need to enable nspeech for voice recognition. When I do that, I get the input menu and can pick headset microphone. The problem is that when I push the assigned button to speak, there is a 2 second delay before I hear the audible beep and it recognizes my voice. If I switch the input to something other than headset microphone, the delay seems to go away.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

I am having a similar PTT delay. I used to have another headset and it was fine, but with the Oculus its a 3-5 second delay before the radio "beep" for starting recognition. If I press and hold until the beep and then speak its fine, if I use always on, its not as "quick" but it works. If I do hold is the problem.
