    HTTPS support

This has less to do with the CrewChief program, and more with the website, but my browser is screaming at me for trying to log in to a website without HTTPS
I did notice that an HTTPS version exists, just not with a valid certificate.

Are there any plans to enable HTTPS on thecrewchief.org (and perhaps even make it the default)?

Not at the moment, the forum software is old and requires a reinstall to enable https with 100% functionality, and its not like you have anything to risk here unless you reuse your passwords and I cant see we can be held responsible for user stupidity.

That is a shame. Out of interest, may I ask what hurdles prevent adoption of HTTPS? As far as I am aware, changing a vBulletin forum from HTTP to HTTPS just involves setting up a certificate, changing the URL in the settings to https instead of http, and then redirecting http to https. Basically what's described here: https://forum.vbulletin.com/articles...forum-to-https

    Or am I missing something?

There was a bit more to it then that, a few of our plugins had to be reinstalled but i went ahead and did it, also the app will revert to secondary url until we put out an update as the url's used in it are hardcoded to use http.
