Error when downloading driver names
Hello Jim,
I recently updated the app to version 4.12.0.1 and required to update the driver name pack as well. When I click the green button, I receive the following error:
"Error downloading driver names, check the readme file for instructions on how to download manually and install this"
The console log has this error message noted:
I tired finding instructions in the readme file but could not locate it. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks for the help and wonderful app.
I've read the readme file but can't seem to find where the instructions are located for this particular issue.
Any help is appreciated. Much thanks for the wonderful work and app.

I can't reproduce this, but you can download the zip file for the entire driver names pack from here http://crewchief.isnais.de/base_driver_names.zip or here http://thecrewchief.org/downloads/base_driver_names.zip
If you unzip this to C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\local\CrewChiefV4\sounds\ (select 'yes' when prompted to overwrite files) it should update the driver names to the latest version

I lost my settings too and got that nice can not find user bla blub restart app > error, restart app > error circle because i did set up a new pc and new OS and did not know that the user profile files are located in AppData and not where there should be in Documents, in my oppinion at least which i always backup and paste in new systems. Also a option of the app to just create a new user profile would be great instead of getting stuck
