CC Pace Notes not recording my voice

I'm having an issue with CC not recording my pace note. There is no WAV file in the folder but only two files, metadata._old & metadata.JSON.

The strange thing i noticed is that after I changed recognition setting from unchecking Prefer Windows to checking nAudio the mic dropdown list showed up on the main CC window!! Still CC does not record my voice!!

I tried switching the mic setting in iracing from XAudio2 to DirectSound, but it made no difference. I'm at loss at what else I need to do to fix this issue.
