View Full Version : rF2 refueling a negative amount (bug)

Hey, over the weekend I did a multiplayer race at Okayama. I was a 136 Lap or 3 hours (depending on which came first) and as I came in for my first pitstop the crew chief decided to not add any fuel. I found this quite odd so I had a look at the Log post-race to see what happened. I'm not sure why this happened but line 489 of my abridged version (too big for the full log) drew to my attention.
"05:50:51.391 : Use per lap = 1.9 laps to go = -1 current fuel = 3.6 additional fuel needed = -3.2"
This was a little over an hour into the race on lap 44.

Ah, "Finish Criteria: Laps and Time" - CC's fuel calculation is expecting one or the other. That's going to need a bit of re-design.
Thanks for reporting it and I'm so glad it didn't screw up your race!

Fixed in V 4.13.1.0

Testing the auto-refuel function in CC with rF2 and everytime I get into the pits, CC resets my "fuel to add" to "zero" and I get no fuel added, of course even though Jim states that either " I have plenty of fuel" or "we'll fill you up until the end". Using V4.16.0.1 of CC and certainly I have the auto refuel option selected within properties.
Not sure whether this problem is related to problem highlighted in this thread, but seems quite similar.
Appreciate any insight.
Thanks and best regards,
MH

Please save the console window (right click in the window) after this has happened and post it here.

Auto-Refuel feature worked this time around with the console window app enabled. Did the app need to be enabled for this feature to work? Simply amazing. Any chance that this feature could be available in future for other sims such as ACC, R3E, etc..?
Thanks for the support, it is very much appreciated.

I didn't explain properly - the console window is the middle window in Crew Chief where all the text scrolls. Nevermind, the logs are stored in c:\Users\you\Documents\CrewChiefV4\debugLogs and if you look at the timestamp in the file names (e.g. console_2022_02_12-18-41-26.txt) you may still have a log from when you had a problem, if so post that here and I may be able to find why it happened and fix it.

Not sure what is happening (something to do with driving slowly under yellow flags maybe?) but I think you can fix your problems by setting Base fuel calculations on max fuel consumption to True, that should mean that CC will ignore the very low fuel usage numbers.
