I am running Windows 10 on an alienware tower PC. OS is fully up to date. My microphone is a Blue Yeti USB microphone. It is my default windows recording device and I have disabled all my other recording devices in the control panel to ensure it is the only recording device available. I have also unchecked the box allowing applications to take exclusive control of the device. My microphone works fine for communication on Teamspeak and within iRacing and it also works fine with VoiceAttack, interpreting my words into commands with no issue.

With Crew Chief, the application seems to work fine in all ways other than it will not detect any speech input. I have gone through the docs and installed every .msi related to speech that I could find and nothing has changed the issue. I've gone onto the windows controls and read the test text "he particularly prefers it to typing", etc, and those seem to work OK.

I've included a full dump of my application console from startup to attempting to execute a single voice command (saying "radio check" in response to CC asking me for a radio check). I broke the output into three blocks. The application launch portion. The cerw chief "Start application" button portion and then the portion resulting from my attempted command.

Have you tried it with nAudio disabled?

I tried both with and without. As of last night it seems like the thing is more or less working now. I have made so many attempts at various settings and installing supplemental packages that might work and now it basically does. The only problem left seems to be that microsoft's voice recognition is kind of subpar compared to something like Voice Attack. I did the voice training thing a few times and still find I have to annunciate my language really exaggeratedly to make sure it understands. With voice attack I find the detection to be significantly better without any training effort at all. Crew Chief itself (when microsoft interprets me correctly) is wonderful. Thanks for putting it out there for us to use.

How do you get it to turn off

What?

So I have been having the exact same difficulties. Run all of the Microsoft stuff and the log looks exactly the same. It just says that no speech was detected.

I don't understand. How does this relate to your original question - "How do you get it to turn off"?
