Crash on Start-up (Before Splash screen)

    Hi guys,

Been using CrewChief without much issue for a few weeks then today (Updated yesterday I believe, but still worked after the update) it just won't start up. Only shutdown/reboot between then and now.

Tried re-installing, downloading the latest CrewChief installer and doing another re-install. Uninstalled Logitech Gaming Software and replaced it with the new Logitech G HUB (Restart and test between every action) ~ in case there was a weird driver interference or something random. Also deleted the CrewChiefV4 in [User]/Local.

Process doesn't show in Task Manager after attempting to run it either, but it does show up in Resource Monitor under CPU tab as Suspended with no threads and no usage.

All I ever see is an attempt at a splash screen (Grey with a transparent rectangle through the middle).

Getting the following in the Event Log:

    .NET Runtime

    Application: CrewChiefV4.exe
    Framework Version: v4.0.30319

It was a bug in installation file. Reinstall and you will be fine!

Then they broke it again! I reported it a couple of days ago. It got fixed and I reinstalled and it worked. It is the splash image that is missing from the installation.

the splash image isn't in the installation, it's pulled from our server if you don't have it.
The error shown in this thread is something I've not seen and I don't yet know what it is

Is there any other info I can give you that may help you identify what's happening?

I added a bit of defensive coding in the splash screen handling in the latest version. Try downloading and installing the app again

Also please try and delete/rename C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Local\Britton_IT_Ltd and reinstall the app

New version worked, thanks for the rapid response! Downloading sound packs/etc. now so good to go once that's done.

How do I remove the splash screen, (as I read changelog that's it's now optional)?
