Thread: Installation issue

    Installation issue

I have had Crewchief installed on my D drive, which corrupted and is no longer in my PC.
I have tried to uninstall Crew Chief, so that I can do a fresh install on my C Drive. However, crewchief will not ley me install a fresh copy or indeed uninstall because it cant find my D Drive. Any help here please, would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

This is over a year old so my hopes are not high but I have the exact same problem and can't find any solution.
    Figured anything out yet?
I looked through my entire C drive and deleted anything crewchief related I could find. no longer have a D drive but crewchief keeps wanting D drive when I try to install

it's a corrupted MSI installer cache, it's been reported and discussed before. There's a zipped up installation folder here http://crewchief.isnais.de/CrewChiefV4.zip that you can download and extract and run from that. I keep this up to date.

    Happened the same to me.
I plugged in a flash drive and named it d: (the place that was installed before) After running the installer I changed to the new directory that I wanted

I'm having this exact same issue, won't update, cannot install, cannot repair etc.
Think it happened after I rolled back an MS Win11 update that messed up my Fanatec wheelbase a month or so ago.
I tried the link for the zip a post or two above, but it doesn't appear to link anywhere any longer...

Could you confirm the steps you took for your 'fix' please?

I'm not sure what you mean about renaming a flash drive as a drive name that you already have on your system. Wouldn't this be rejected or not even available as an option on Disk Mgmt?
