voice recognition stuck on always on

When i first download CC i had it setup on "push to talk" mode and it worked as expected. But when I tried personalizing the properties to my wants I also wanted to try "always on" mode. Well ever since I changed it to that it has been stuck at "always on" mode even though I have the setting for "push to talk" selected. It also sometimes doesn't seem to hear my voice at all (I've tried changing my voice volume) but other times (75%) it works fine. I have a button assigned and even tried switching buttons and restarting the app. I'm lost at what else to try. Everything else seems to be working fine. Love the potential for this app by the way. Just want more options that fit oval racing more for iRacing.
