Speech recognition works but only with one of my two microphones.

Hi all,

Basically I have an oculus rift that crewchief couldn't understand me through.
I bought a modmic and it worked perfectly. Suddenly it no longer works, people who I talk to on discord or teamspeak can hear me perfectly and it seems to work corretly.
It is setup 100% volume in microphone properties and 0 boost. The exact same as my logitech headset, which also works fine on discord & teamspeak. The logitech headset can also be understood by crewchief. I can't figure out what has changed that the modmic is no longer understood.
Can anyone please help me troubleshoot?
